Georgian Period Diamond Set Flower Brooch Circa 1780
A splendid Georgian diamond flowers brooch made in 18 karat gold with silver front setting circa 1780.
Handcrafted in solid 18k gold the brooch is set with various old cut diamonds set in silver. The articulated flower heads make for an interestin feature. The total content of approx 2:00 carats of sparkling old cuts rose bring the piece to life. Each diamond is of good gauge and clean to the eye producing lots of natural sparkle.
The silver front setting, typical of the period, shows dark age patina which we wouldn't dream of cleaning as it shows its a true and authentic period piece. The gold pin has good tension and slots into a solid catch with safety lock. The diamonds are checked and set secure.
